Sisi does not need presidency
Ahmed Said, head of the Free Egyptians Party and the secretary general of the National Salvation Front (NSF), stated that the Muslim Brotherhood organization is not prepared for reconciliation since they do not recognize the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi yet
Said added, in his statement to Youm7, that it is too early to talk about the next president
He further explained that the presidency will not add anything to General Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’ s status
All presidential candidates must announce their programs and leave the choice to the people in the polls, he said
Moreover Said stated, If Sisi decides to run for presidential elections and the people chose him, then he deserves to be Egypt’ s president
He demanded that the 50-member committee avoid any conflict in order to prepare the constitution that Egypt deserves
He also commented on the NSF’ s demand to proceed with the presidential elections before parliamentary elections, contrary to what the roadmap stated, saying that there is no concern about having presidential elections first, since the constitution will be ready before the presidential elections, as opposed to the election of Mohamed Morsi, which took place in order to end the transitional period
